In the meantime, a Zoom Writing Session!
Hi everyone. I’m catching the last rays of WiFi from my staycation spot an hour away from our home in the Catskills, before going fully off-grid until the 20th and reading lots; I have Lysley Tenorio, Brit Bennett, and Curtis Sittenfeld with me to start. But if you’re not on writing break like me, our wonderful volunteer Vanessa Armstrong is coordinating a series of Zoom writing sessions starting tomorrow at 8 ET (register here!) to tide us over while we’re on workshop hiatus. Here are details from Vanessa:
+++++
While this summer won’t have any formal Zoom workshops, some members of Fairest Writer have decided to organize a group writing session for folks who are looking for some community (and accountability) as we work on our writing over the next couple of months.
The first session will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at 5 PM Pacific / 8 PM Eastern, and you can sign up here!
The format will be simple: a brief kickoff and introductions for everyone followed by 30-40 minutes of focused writing. They’ll close the hour-long session by coming back together and sharing how we did and what we worked on.
Questions? Feel free to email Vanessa (vanessa@van-eff.com), who is coordinating the Zoom administration.
