Writing session this weekend!
Hi everyone.
Hope you’re all having as good as summer as one can have given life. First off, the wonderful Anne Putnam has organized a weekend focused writing session this Saturday at 2pm ET / 11 PT if you want to work on something with other folks around. More info below but you can also REGISTER HERE.
I’ll see you there! I myself am a pretty happy solitary writer, but there are always types of work I procrastinate on and often need other people around to do them. This includes things like proofreading, typing things up I’ve written by hand, and checking for inconsistencies in long manuscripts. I love the idea of the Zoom work date given the times we’re living in, and also getting to find out what y’all have been working on.
Also early plug for this reading I’m doing for the Red Ink series on September 10, sponsored by Books Are Magic. Here’s the registration link, which you should click now if you want to come so you don’t forget.
Hope to see you Saturday,
Meredith

While this summer won't have any formal Zoom workshops, some members of Fairest Writer have decided to organize a group writing session for folks who are looking for some community (and accountability) as we work on our writing over the next couple of months.
The second session will take place this Saturday, August 22nd at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern, and you can sign up here.
The format will be simple: a brief kickoff and introductions for everyone followed by 30-40 minutes of focused writing. They'll close the hour-long session by coming back together and sharing how we did and what we worked on.
Questions? Feel free to email Anne (ahputnam@gmail.com), who is coordinating the Zoom administration.
